Vintage Earthy Revival

This interior refresh was rooted in honoring the home’s early 20th-century character while infusing it with a grounded, nature-inspired palette. With lower-than-average ceilings, the design challenge centered on creating a space that felt cozy and luminous, never heavy or confined.

The existing architecture offered a rich foundation: exposed wood beams, built-in bookshelves, and vintage wall prints that spoke to the home’s history. The design direction, coined “vintage earthy,” embraced these elements while introducing a palette of soft olive green, rust, taupe, and creamy white. These tones were layered with natural textures, antiqued gold hardware, and moody artwork to evoke warmth and cohesion.

Rather than shrinking the space, the olive walls provided a gentle contrast to the wood accents, enhancing flow and intimacy. Most furnishings and accessories were locally sourced or vintage finds, reinforcing the home’s narrative and adding tactile charm. The result is a space that feels both timeless and personal, where old and new meet in quiet harmony.
